White, high-quality acrylic primer - GERSTAECKER Gesso. An ideal primer for preparing closed, grease-free and textile painting surfaces. Gesso is water-soluble, contains no solvents, is lightfast and resistant to ageing. Gerstaecker gesso gives a slightly rough surface after drying. It is excellent as a ground for oil colours, acrylic colours, watercolours and gouache.

After pre-treatment with GERSTAECKER Gesso, a slightly rough surface with highly absorbent properties appears after drying.

The primer can be diluted as needed and applied in 1 or more layers (drying time between layers is 2 to 3 hours, light sanding if necessary).

Review this product
good product - I used this primer on panels, diluting slightly and applying three coats. The first thing I noticed was that it was very absorbent - too much so for my purposes. In future I shall sand it down with a fine finishing paper. which I think will give the surface that I'm after.
Altogether a good product at a reasonable price.
