Borciani e Bonazzi Series 303 Spalter brushes are traditional spalter brushes with extra-fine hog bristles, which are both flexible and somewhat stiffer. They absorb a lot of paint, thinners and mediums, and offer even release.
These spalters are particularly suitable for thicker paints, such as heavy body acrylic paint, oil paint and some tempera paints — and more impasto techniques. Please note: this spalter is less suitable for thinner paints such as watercolour paint.
TIP! If you prepare your own supports you can also use these spalters to apply pre-gluing and priming with gesso. This spalter is also excellent for découpage — working with paper applications — decorative techniques and murals.

TIP! The stroke is medium length and does not leave excessive streaks. However, with stiffer paint and shorter strokes, you can certainly create expressive touches and leave marks.
