CHARBONNEL | Gilder's Clay Base — Red Poliment, 1000 ml
Charbonnel Gilder's Clay Base is a red tinted bole. It is ideal for mixing with rabbit skin glue to form a flexible surface for the application of gold leaf or precious metal leaf. The red colour gives your gold leaf an antique dark red look.
This product contains pure aluminum oxide, oxide and water, and is a paste which is dilutable with water. It is very finely ground, guaranteeing you a stable and consistent paste. When applying the Charbonnel Red Poliment, it is important to avoid painting over a freshly painted surface. It should be applied in 3 - 4 layers, with each succeeding layer only applied after the previous one is completely dry.
