Thank you GREATART. I love Pastelmat even though some people seem to find problems with it for quality I can only surmise that there was not enough care taken with the storage or packing procedures by other retailers as all of my large 100 x 70 are well packaged and in perfect condition and have been consistently the same. I always buy mine from GreatArt as their offers are very good and the delicate Pastelmat is very securely wrapped for postage. I buy the 100x70 large sheets that are more economical then smaller one that have more wastage. I have checked all 10 sheets and they appear to be in perfect condition. Especially good for pastel pencil art. Colour options are really good for all subjects.

Excellent! Best surface I have tried with pastels.

clairefontaine pastemat - I was originally given a pad of this paper/card and first thoughts were that it didn't have enough tooth, but having tried it I was really impressed and bought some sheets. it will hold a lot of pastel if you layer, and produce some wonderful effects, having tried a quite a few different papers this has been put near the top in my list of preferences. It is a lovely surface to use, you need to try it to see if suits the way you paint.
Great for coloured pencil use - Grabs at the pencil colour so that one can work very fast to produce effective results. One has to be careful not to make mistakes as it is hard to change/erase, as the surface seems to loose tooth when one tries to erase. I have just got some more of the anthracite coloured paper

Great paper for pastel and coloured pencils - Lovely surface to work with but would like a few more colours, eg light blue and deep blue.
Denise
Great surface! - Great surface for those that like detail but colours a little limited.
