Gerstaecker Excellence Plus Linen Stretched Canvases are 100% Belgian linen, 460 gsm. These high quality canvases are ideal for oil and acrylics.

Excellence Plus canvases are prepared with 2 coats of rabbit glue: this traditional method using heated rabbit skin glue ensures perfect ageing of the material. 2 coats of specifically developed universal primer are then applied, making this a superior canvas. The paint will go on smoothly and adhere well to the canvas, no matter which technique you use the colours will be rendered beautifully.

Gerstaecker Excellence Plus Linen Stretched Canvases are stapled on the back of the frame with no side tacks. The stretchers are made out of natural pine, PEFC certified, from sustainably managed forests. The larger size canvases come with support bars for reinforcement, thus ensuring a very stable frame.

Best pick of a bad selection - This is the only greatart canvas worth buying, in my opinion.
Having said that, it's still mediocre at best: horrifically overpriced, and why are the corners folded out, rather than in. Looks so amateurish.
On the upside, it's tight, stays tight. Decently primed. (Though it still requires re-priming) I've bought at least 50 or so and they've never given me any major trouble.
Greatart, fold the f***ing corners in and slash 50% off the price and I'll give this a 5star review.

Love it! - Love this medium weave stretched canvas just wish it was also in French format sizes!
