The tin contains a selection of 12 different grades ranging from 8B (softest and darkest) to 2H (harder and lighter) — perfect for adding detail, drawing precise lines, applying shading, hatching larger areas and creating sketches. Each individual pencil is embossed with its specific lead grade content for effortless identification.
The pencils are constructed using premium California cedar wood. This specific wood prevents warping and provides clean, effortless sharpening. The core is filled with premium Hardtmuth graphite. It is mixed with select clays to deliver smooth, scratchless lines. The lead is glued along the entire length of the wood casing to maximise break resistance. The casing itself is finished with multiple layers of clear varnish.
