Lascaux Ultra Retarder is a premium, high-viscosity acrylic additive designed to significantly extend the "open" working time of acrylic paints without compromising their colour tone, quality, or lightfastness.

By slowing down water evaporation, this retarder gives artists ample time for intricate wet-on-wet blending and creating smooth, subtle colour gradients.

Lascaux Ultra Retarder extends the drying time of acrylic paints by up to 6 times (about three times longer than Lascaux's Regular Retarder). It features a pastose body, meaning it causes only minimal changes to the original viscosity and thickness of your paint. The retarder is highly lightfast, age-resistant, and crack-resistant, ensuring long-term paint film stability.
