Gerstaecker Studio 2 Stretched Canvases offer an ideal surface for oil, acrylic and gouache. They are 100% cotton, 380 gsm with a fine even grain and no side tacking. They are coated with low absorbency universal primer.

The stretcher frames on Gerstaecker Studio 2 Stretched Canvases are hand-made from top quality seasoned natural pine, and can be tensioned using the hardwood wedges which are included. Canvases 60 cm or larger are reinforced with a support bar and 80 cm x 80 cm and above by a single cross. The profile is 20 mm x 40 mm.

Numerous formats are available, including square formats.

Excellent quality and value - This is a nice strong well-primed canvas with a very good tooth for a cotton canvas. Well made, without those annoying bumps round the edges, and stapled at the back so you can paint the edges if you like. Good delivery time, and packed in a cardboard box so you can store them without fear of getting things poked through them. Never had a warped one. Recommended.
