Léonard Outremer Gilding brushes series 2321RB are special brushes used for classic gilding. The extra-soft petit gris synthetic fibres are double-bonded and held in place by a plastic quill.
With a short natural handle and round shape with a domed end, it is perfect as a so-called ‘appuyeux’ brush. It is used for pressing gold leaf onto moistened surfaces and for gentle smoothing and structuring without damaging the delicate metal. Thanks to its exceptional elasticity and suppleness, it is also ideal for sweeping and smoothing gold leaf, silver leaf or metal leaf.
