BASICS™ FLUID acrylic paint by Liquitex® is an affordable everyday paint with a fluid, flowing consistency for use straight from the bottle.
Although it uses the same artists' quality pigments as the Liquitex® BASICS™ acrylic paint, it is not a watered-down version of that paint. Not only would that negatively affect the structure and performance of the paint, but it would also result in weaker colours.
Instead, Liquitex® BASICS™ FLUID acrylic paint uses a special binder, resulting in a flowing consistency with a strong paint film and bright colours. It's 100% canvas-ready, so there's no need to thin it with water. Extra water would dilute the pigment load and stop the paint from drying properly. If you want to thin this paint even more, we recommend using a medium instead of water. TIP! Or use the PROFESSIONAL acrylic ink by Liquitex®, which is even more fluid.
You can use this paint for large areas and underpaintings without visible brush strokes. Because it flows smoothly from the brush, it is also perfect for fine details and thin lines. TIP! Used on its own or mixed with a medium, it's also ideal for pouring, splattering, stippling & lettering!

Liquitex® uses the same artists' quality pigments in the BASICS™ and BASICS™ FLUID acrylics as in the PROFESSIONAL HEAVY BODY and SOFT BODY acrylics, with the same excellent properties and bright colours. There's only a little less pigment used, keeping these paints affordable.
