LYRA Rembrandt Extra Dark Oil-free Charcoal pencils are high-quality, professional monochrome drawing tools that provide intensely deep, velvet-black matt tones. They are ideal for blending, smudging, and heavy chiaroscuro work
These pencils feature a rich composition combining highly concentrated charcoal powder, natural graphite, and a touch of Carbon Black pigment to maximise darkness. They deliver a completely matt, reflection-free black finish on paper, lacking the typical shiny sheen left behind by standard graphite. Because the oil-free version lacks an oil binder, the lines are delicate, smudge easily with fingers or a paper stump, and are highly responsive to blending.
TIP! Due to the dry, powdery layout, applying an art fixative spray to your finished artwork is highly recommended to prevent accidental smearing.
