How does it work? The palette consists of two parts: a shallow tray, containing a cellulose sponge that you wet with water, and on top of that a sheet of palette paper, on which you mix your paint. That paper also acts as a permeable membrane, sucking up water from the sponge, so that your paint stays moist while painting and does not dry out. And a lid, which allows you to close the whole palette, preventing evaporation.
