Schmincke | Gesso 518 — 1 litre pot, 1 litre

Schmincke Gesso 518 is a traditional acrylic semi-chalk base for oil and acrylic paints and is characterised by the following properties:

  • white
  • good covering power
  • strongly absorbent
  • elastic
  • lightfast
  • resilient
  • dries matt

Once dry, Schmincke Gesso 518 is resistant to turpentine oil and water, and remains so flexible that it can also be used for priming canvas, paper and wood panels. It is particularly recommended if a coloured primer is required, as it can easily be tinted with acrylic paint.
