Schmincke SUPER Retarder 559 is an additive for acrylic paints to significantly extend the open time. It preserves their consistency while significantly retarding drying time, making it ideal for prolonged wet-on-wet techniques.
Adding approximately 20% to your acrylics can extend the drying time by up to 75%, with a maximum recommended ratio of 50%.
This Schmincke SUPER Retarder 559 is available in tubes or tubs.
N.B. Do not use pure!
