ESSDEE FABRIC Block Printing Inks are specialised mediums formulated for printmaking on textiles and fabrics. They are water-based and highly viscous, with vibrant colours and a smooth flow, offering high tack and excellent transfer onto fabric.
After use equipment cleans up quickly using just soap and water. ESSDEE FABRIC Block Printing Inks are sold in 100 ml tubes, and are available in various colours.
To use ESSDEE FABRIC Block Printing Inks:
- Carve your custom design into a lino or MasterCut carving block.
- Apply the ink evenly onto the block using an ink roller, such as the specialised Essdee Fabric Roller.
- Place the inked block face down onto your fabric (100% cotton works best) and apply firm, even pressure.
- Fix the ink by ironing the reverse side of the print on a non-steam setting for 4 minutes.
TIP! Once heat-set, the custom-printed textile is machine washable up to 40° C
