Gerstaecker Tintoretto All Wood Painting Panels are made of 5-ply synthetically glued plywood. They can be used for a variety of techniques: oil painting, alkyd painting and oil pastels.

These extra flat Gerstaecker Tintoretto All Wood Painting Panels are 5 mm deep and are stabilised by a solid wood frame which is 3 cm thick. The panel and frame have an elegant finish which is very pleasing to the eye. The surface of the panel is finely sanded and coated with a clear natural colour. The density and structure of the wood mean you can work with just a coat of basic primer e.g Gerstaecker Gesso or Capacryl.

Tintoretto Boards - Really good boards to work on. Very smooth painting surface. Cover well with gesso, paint, varnish and other mediums. Once painted they are ready to hang without framing.

Tintoretto panels - I've used a variety of sizes and they are all lovely. The surface is smooth, but absorbent enough for my work in wax encaustic. The grain is so beautiful I sometimes let it become part of the work.
