GIUSTO MANETTI Dewaxed Water-Based Shellac is suitable as a polish for precious metal leaf gilding and as a lacquer for furniture and frames. The resulting film is transparent, glossy, semi-rigid, and moderately amber-toned.
This glossy protective varnish is based on de-waxed shellac and water.
To use: The surface must be perfectly clean, dry, and free from grease deposits. GIUSTO MANETTI Dewaxed Water-Based Shellac can be applied by brush, spray, or pad. Dilution percentage, application method and quantities applied may significantly affect the workability time. The most suitable application methods should be determined by experimentation on the basis of the surface being gilded and the desired result.
TIP! Store in a cool, dry place in its own container, closed, and away from direct light and heat. The ideal temperature is 15-25° C with humidity under 50%.
