Rohrer & Klingner Bistre Indian Ink is a speciality in our ink program. Bistre ink is a warm, classical brown tone which has been used since the 13th century and was favoured by great masters such as Rembrandt.
This Rohrer & Klingner Bistre Indian Ink is ideal for pen and ink drawings, calligraphy and brush drawings with delicate washes. It is largely lightfast. This Rohrer & Klingner Bistre Indian Ink differs from other drawing inks because it has shellac solution as a binder where others use a pure acrylate. It is available in 50ml or 250ml environmentally friendly glass bottles.
