These GRIFFIN ALKYD™ Fast Drying Oil Colours are genuine oil paints made by WINSOR & NEWTON™ from high quality pigments and oil modified alkyd resin. They can be thinned with conventional solvents.

The unique formulation of the WINSOR & NEWTON™ GRIFFIN ALKYD™ Fast Drying Oil Colours allows for a shorter drying time than most oil paints. The paints remain moist and workable for 6-8 hours, and then dry overnight into a particularly hard paint layer. GRIFFIN ALKYD™ dry with a uniform gloss which will neither crack nor crumble.

The product features at a glance:

  • fast-drying
  • oil modified alkyd resin
  • can be used with solvents
  • glossy finish
  • inter-mixable
  • both opaque and transparent options

TIP! These paints can be mixed with conventional oil colours and you can use exactly the same supports, brushes and mediums that you would normally use for oils.

Price per tube.

Try using Alkyd White with conventional oils- you get the best of both worlds. Not too fast drying and not too slow.
Pure Alkyd for the under painting and the above for over painting, complies with fat over lean. Works for me every time.
Denise
Love these! - I really like these. The texture, the fact that it dries quickly & the quality. Sometimes I use it allaprima or as an underpainting.
It's probably better to use in the winter because of the quick drying qualities in a cold climate but I find it dries a bit too quick in the summer for my speed of painting!
