Clairefontaine FONTAINE Cloud Texture watercolour paper is 100% cotton, 300 gsm, pH neutral and free from optical brighteners. It is manufactured on a cylinder machine but the purity of the water and cotton used to make the pulp, combined with the quality and consistency of the glue coating (both in the pulp and on the surface) make this paper unique in its handmade-like finish. Using Clairefontaine FONTAINE paper is a joy because it has a great capacity for absorption and resistance to wrinkling, whilst offering excellent colour reproduction and preserving the transparency of the colours The quality of the finish means retouching is also possible.
