The ingredients of this premium Tri-Art™ F. Q. LIQUID acrylic paint are as pure as possible. ➽ F.Q. stands for Finest Quality — professional level! Only the very best pigments are used in the highest possible concentration — no fillers or extenders are added.
These factors ensure that the characteristic properties and colour strength — the chroma — of the pigments remain intact. All colour ranges of the spectrum are well represented. For some colours, you can even choose between a transparent and an opaque variant. The opacity and gloss level are determined by the inherent properties of each pigment and by the pigment size. The finer a pigment is ground, the more transparent and glossy the colour. The coarser a pigment is, the more opaque and matt the colour.
Take these two colours, for example, both mono-pigmented with the same pigment — PY 254:
088 Transparent pyrolle red medium — finely ground and transparent
069 Pyrolle red medium — coarsely ground and opaque
This Tri-Art™ F. Q. LIQUID acrylic paint is acrylic paint in its purest form. It has a smooth viscosity — lotion-like — and is medium fluid. It is also slightly self-levelling, meaning it evens out by itself and brush strokes fade slightly.
TIP! It is best to use an all-round brush, such as the Vernissage brush from GERSTAECKER.

TIP! You can, of course, use this paint on its own. However, all colours are so highly pigmented that you can also use them in combination with Tri-Art™ acrylic mediums without reducing the colour strength — and some applications work even better! The polymer mediums have the same viscosity as this LIQUID acrylic paint, while the gel mediums increase the viscosity and make the paint stiffer.
➽ Tri-Art™ ★★★★★ quality — proudly Canadian!
It started as a sideline of Art Noise, an art shop and gallery in Kingston, Ontario (Canada). Acrylic paint was made by hand on a small scale at the back of the shop. And the professionals liked that paint — no gimmicks, just great paint!
