WINSOR & NEWTON™ Winton Fan Hog Bristle Brushes have long handles. They are ideal for blending, softening edges, creating textures and finishing.
These popular fan brushes for oil and acrylics are used for finishing touches, mainly in portrait and landscape painting. Originally WINSOR & NEWTON™ Fan Brushes were used for mixing oil paints on canvas, today they are also used for graining and effects.
Winton bristle brushes are made from high-quality Chinese hog bristles which are inserted by hand into seamless corrosion-resistant ferrules. The natural curvature of the pig bristles provides a resilient brush which retains its shape even under heavy use, giving the artist more control and accuracy. The long green wooden handles of Winton bristle brushes are coated with five coats of paint to give them protection and provide smooth handling characteristics.
