This MAIMERI GLOSS MEDIUM 622 is used in combination with acrylic paint. It slightly reduces the viscosity of the paint so your paint becomes more fluid, while the stability of the paint film remains intact and is even improved.
The colours also become brighter and the gloss of your paint is increased.
TIP! You can also use this medium as a gloss top coat. Allow your work to dry thoroughly first. For thinner layers, this can take a week or two, for thicker layers possibly longer — all the water must have evaporated from your painting. Work as thinly as possible, possibly in several layers, never thickly! To prevent possible problems with air bubbles that can rise during drying, make sure that no pools of medium remain in the deeper areas of your work when working with paste and textured materials. If necessary, go over the topcoat with a dry spalter before drying to distribute the medium more evenly and remove any air bubbles. And keep in mind that the topcoat will become a permanent part of the paint film and cannot be removed.

➽ Get the most out of your paint!
If you dilute acrylic paint heavily with water alone, you may experience underbinding - there will be too little binder left in your paint. Your paint will lose its binding power and will no longer be able to form a nice paint film: the paint will be pulled apart, as it were. This also reduces qualities such as adhesive strength, lightfastness, gloss level and colour strength.
.If you use an acrylic medium to thin your paint - or at least add it to the water you use to thin your paint - the good properties of your paint will be retained when diluted and you will get beautiful, stable paint layers. And the transparent paint films that you can apply with acrylic paint mixed with an acrylic medium simply cannot be achieved with water alone!
TIP! This acrylic medium can be perfectly combined with MAIMERI's ACRILICO acrylic paint.
