Speedball® Underglazes are among the most versatile and colour-intensive underglazes for ceramics. They have been specially developed for firing at cone 5 to 6 and can be applied to both greenware and bisque.

Unglazed, they produce a velvety matt surface, while under a transparent glaze they appear significantly more intense, stronger and more brilliant. The colours are ideal for painting, illustrations, lettering, surface work or fine details. Their creamy consistency allows for very controlled application.

Each colour remains stable during firing, burns true to colour and can be used individually or in combination with other Speedball® Underglazes. Layering techniques are also possible to achieve additional depth or colour variations.

All Speedball® Underglazes are lead-free, non-flammable, AP-certified and suitable for tableware when used correctly. Made in the USA.
